A couple days ago I ran across a discussion about the various worms that can be raised and how is the best way to raise them. I am unable to find that again. :blush: I wanted to ad, I did find a supplier of grindals and have a starter ordered. I am tickled beyond belief. NOW, for the question or comment;

In the deep recesses of my brain cells I seem to remember from early childhood, my dear friend who raised supplies for the pet shop, fed his whiteworms, day old bread lightly soaked in milk. ????? IT was easy to collect the worms, he would just tip the bread over and using tweezers pick up clumps of worms. Is my brain playing tricks on me or was this acceptable at one time and if so, does anyone still feed and collect by this method?

Tanks a lot Karen Campbell

Yeah Karen you can use bread/milk for grindalworm but I found that cereal works best for me.

ok, will go with cereal then for them. Once I get a good stock up I will do a second box and try the bread and milk. I need to work on keeping them cool tho, living in Florida, USA it gets kinda warm and I do not have air conditioning, I just love the open doors so use fans. I will utilize a cooler and frozen water. plus a temp gage to make sure it is ok. Karen
