Raising Severum Eggs In A Community Tank

My gold severums have recently spawned - trouble is they eat the eggs every time so far.

I have this time taken the eggs from the rock and placed them into a fry trap - essentially some net covering a plastic frame hanging from the cover glass in the path of my filter outlet. Problem is the rest of the fish are nibbling through the fine net at the eggs.

So what suggestions do you have for my next time? I'm thinking maybe an egg cup to elevate the eggs above the netting or something.

Ideas?
