Hi all

My PH keeps dropping mid cycle. I have done many water changes evertime it drops.

It has dropped from 8.0 to 5.5 overnight!

Looking to buffer it up using bicarbonate soda, is this the same as baking soda?

Thanks x

ah, i donno... isnt baking soda used to euthanize fish...? i'm not sure how that works, but i know that baking soda is a method of killing fish and i wouldnt put it in my water if there was any chance of harm x,x

Baking soda is perfectly fine in a tank. You're not dumping the entire thing in to the tank :p Just a little bit until you get the pH to where you want.
