Well a couple of days ago I found this action on aquabid for some crowntail betta fry for .50 cents each. They sounded lovely and I was really tempted. But I had just spent the rest of my money on some red cherry shrimp and java moss. So I emailed the seller and was wondering how much the shipping was. Twelve dollars of course. Well I wasnt getting any more money till the 31st. Well the seller and I started talking and he told me and showed me a pic of some more fry he had. They were mustard gas/pinaple crowntails. You could tell when they are all grown that they are going to be beautiful. Some even have clear fins! Ooo they will be gorgous  ! Any way, I asked him if I win this new action if he can hold them for me till I can get a money order out on the 31st, and he said sure thing! So currently I am winning the action! It is for three betta fry at a time.

My friend wants to give me her ten gallon tank. It has every thing, filter, heater, gravel, decor, light, ect. I am going to raise them and if that all goes well then I will breed! I found 100 betta containers on aquabid for about 16.00 so I would get those, and I also have another 10 gallon that my other friend is giving me so I could use that for more of the females!

So suggestions and advise on breeding and raiseing! Thanks! :D

Yes it does sound like alot of work. I am considering flame honey gouramis maybe instead. I like them alot and it wouldnt be as hard work. I wouldnt have to separate all the males, and they could grow up all in the same tank. It would be alot easyer. And I love the attitudes of them too like the bettas. Maybe I will just try out breeding bettas once and see what happens. And if I still want to breed them then I will stick to it!

So advise and suggestions please!!!

I have a question. Which breed do you think I would make the biggest profit with.

Halfmoon
Plakat
Delta
Crowntail

you are pretty unlikely to get a profit from breeding any fish in the small scale. Its more a labour of love.

indeed. most breeders make a loss rather than profit. you may get a $1 a fish or something to an LFS, but you'd have spent like $15 per fish raising them, water bills, electricity bills, food, food for your live food...etc..etc...and an LFS won't generally take a fish until its 3 months old. so you have at least 3 months of care to plan for...
