i've heard rumors of fish eggs drying up with water in ponds. being so light, the eggs suposevly go up with the water vapor, then they have and apparently fall when it rains. it rained really hard a while back in this place callled the greene acres near were i live. my cousin said him and his friends found tons of little fish in puddles and on the ground. is this real or are people just a little insane?

Iv heared this befor. But i dont believe anything intill I see it my self. Interesting theory though. I dont think fish eggs could survive if the pond or water source dried up. Ill try google :good:

Only thing remotely like this i've heard is tornadoes sucking up entire ponds and depositing the contents on cities.

Depends on the species. This is how some species of annual killifish do need to be hatched- to be semi-dried out and stored in peat, then having water poured on them In the wild, their ponds dry out once a year and the parents die.

My point exactly  LoL.

huh, thats wierd. The storm was pretty big and i think i did hear something on the news about a possible tornado not far away.

Next time we have a big storm and tornado warning i'm goin fish hunting as soon as it's over!!!! :p

They could've been tadpoles.

Off subject but equally odd. I have a 125 gallons with mainly Tanganyikans and couple of weeks ago I noticed MTS (Malaysian Trumpet Snail) they just showed up about a dozen. I'm not complaining since I wanted them but how they got there is a quandary. I know they must've came in with the fish but I know I didn't see them when I netted and placed the fish in to the tank. So, I recon they must've been real small when they hitched a ride :good: . It does make one almost believe the possibility of immaculate conception.
