Rainbow Shark Mates....

i think part of it is the fact that i have had the angel and the rainbow shark for quite some time, and they were the only ones in the 20 by themselves. when i got the 55 i moved them over and they were also alone in there for a bit. i think he just got used to the tank being ALL his. i also really dont have that much landscaping as far as plants, so i dont think it breaks the tank into seperate territories very well. i have been looking into some kuhli loaches, and i would love to have something like a zebra pleco, but cant fathom the $250 for one. my luck he would die the day after warranty. so if i were to get some more angels they should all be the same sex or they will pair? will they be aggressive towards all other fish, or just other angels? i am in the process of building a new stand and hood so i can make this tank planted. i already have a new pressurized c02 ready to go, all i need is a new XP2 and my lights. so the landscaping WILL be changing quite a bit. not sure if i am keeping the logs, cause i want to build some PVC caves, and to create an incline for more sand and plants, so i may have to get rid of the small log.

I'd throw in a rainbow cichlid, or some keyhole cichlids.. both should get along with angelfish. Shouldn't bother the angels, and should be able to fend them off if they need to.

An angelfish's ventral fins can and do grow back - it's happened with three of mine. :good: It an take a while, but my three that lost half of theirs to mystery illness now have them fully back now, 3 months on.

As for companions, mine live with two rainbow cichlids, 2 Bolivian Rams, the plecs and various tetras and cories.

i was thinking of getting some discus, kuhli loaches, and some corys...what do you think. i have thought abot tetras, but i am worried they will be a bit nippy, and i thought they were also angels natural prey.
