All the Discus are still available if I split the set-up, but there are two offers on the L66, two on the Sterbai and one on the L15's already. To Coventry, I'm going to need a day or two to get postage quotes off the courier for moving the Discus your way, but if your interested I'll start looking into it for you If I'd thought about this before, I'd have put the Discus down as Postable... It's 50p a mile plus some un-disclosed figure for the trip for moving stuff point-to-point without deliveries between, which is what I'll need to do with the Discus to get them to you safely If you want quoting for the delivery, drop me a PM with your postcode, so I can contact the courier about it for you

EDIT to add, I would still prefer to sell this complete, so am only taking offers for stuff such that I can split it if I get offers for everything before I need the space for the new tank if no offers for the full lot come round. Mid-month at the latest I'll be deciding to split or not, and arranging livestock collection/postage, and hardware will go after that (or same day in Emma12321's case...)

I may be interested in ALL the Discus, dependant on total cost inc delivery. I am in Devon, so if it is too much, I wouldn't bother.

I'd expect that I won't hear back from the courier firm until Monday morning a the earliest, and it will be Monday Evening by me posting the prices of delivery for each of you, as I'm out at work from 7am until 7pm... I'll drop you all PM's though once your postage quotes are up so you can review what postage will cost and decide if you are interested in anything.

The tubes in the light unit range from 7 to 3 months old. I have two spare lamps at 2 and 4 months old respectively that I can supply with the unit FOC however

Typhoon, I've received you "stock up-date request" and offer for the L66. On the L66 you'll have to join the que I'm afraid, despite your better offer, as I've already promised first and second dibbs to other people. However, if you are happy to join the que, simply ask and you'll get third dibbs should the other two offers not come trough You said that you are currently cycling, if you are interested in livestock, you may consider the second filter, especially as you said you'd be collecting, as I can supply it fully cycled and good to go on a light-to-mid stocked tank As for your "stock request", please see below;

OK, thank you Typoon. I may be able to sort you some mature filter media to speed your cycle though, if it helps Might mean you are able to collect the Discus sooner, and I'm a bit eaky letting you have them in a set-up that has literally just cycled. Newly cycled tanks are very prone to "blips", and a Blip can kill Discus very quickly. Mature media makes for a more stable filter after the cycle and hence less chance of a blip occuring. Put it another way, collect some mature media from me and I'll put you down for the Discus, decline the offer of mature media without supplying some of your own from a separate set-up you may have and I'll keep looking for other buyers of the Discus. As I'm sure you'll appreciate, I want them to have the best chance in their new home

If you choose to accept the offer of mature media, drop me a PM to arrange a meeting date/time and what media you'd like out of Sponge and Bioballs, and I'll put you down for the Discus once you've collected your media

well ive got a external fluval 405 and as im new to the world of external filters always had internals in all of my tanks. im not sure what media id need. it has two long sponges in it, and also some ceramic media.

im away in zurich now until wednesday so if u get other offers take them =]

Thanks for that, I will await your post. I am away from next Friday for a week, so would not want them delivered until I get back. I wouldnt want to put them in the tank and not be around to keep an eye on them for a week or so.

OK Typhoon for now I'll keep being open to offers until you say you'll take them for definite

How big is the tank? One lone 405 is going to struggle with 8 Discus, as one was really struggling with 6 when I first set-up the tank. Obviously, with 4 heavy feeds a day, that waste level will kill the flow of even good filters sooner than you'd expect. Unless this is a 55g tall, I'd still strongly advise you to pick-up a second filter, even if it is just a large internal like a Fluval U4/4+ or equivalent

For mature media, sponge would be easy enough to fit, and bio-balls are a good media also. With externals, you have a lot of flexibility as regards to media Ideally, I'd like replacements for whatever you take, as the filter I take the media from isn't going to be sell-able really without a full set of media... Both can be collected cheaply, or I can supply the replacements if you take all the Discus in the end
