I had my first fish loss yesterday. One of my Gold Tetras. :rip:

I did a few water tests and parameters are fine:

Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 20ppm

No deviation in pH either.

There were no external signs of disease, loss of colouration etc and no change in behaviour. In fact it was eating well yesterday morning when I fed them.

The only thought that did occur to me was that they were wild caught, and this particular fish was far larger than the others when I purchased them, so maybe it was just a lot older than the others?

Your water stats are good and if all the other fish seem ok then it's probably an IDFNAR (isolated death for no apparant reason)
Your comment on the size/age thing could be the answer, either way don't feel bad just keep an eye on the rest :shifty:

No need to tell me to keep an eye on the rest. My other half is always telling me off for NOT watching the telly!

Thanks BTW.
