I took today day off college beacuse im ill, i woke up at around 9 and fed the fish and checked they were all okay, and it was, just like usual

then i fell asleep but when i woke up i found my Molly on the botom of the tank upside down

i looked at him as best i could but there was nothing wrong with him, no marks or anything

so now im upset and feaking out

i cant tell you my readings though,i cant get out =[

what should i do? water change? how much?

everyone else is fine, but then so was he

:rip:

I would do a partial water change just to be safe.
Sorry to hear about your molly, was he in the tank in your sig?

How long have you had him?
Any problems in the tank previously?
How old is the tank?

Do a 50% water change to be on the safe side until you can get the water tested hun
If you cant get the water tested for a few days i would be inclinded to do 25% a day from tomorrow until you can get it tested incase you've had a spike of ammonia or nitrites , which can happen for many reasons

so sorry you lost him :(

thankyou =] ill get going with the water change and try and get tested tomorrow

thanks again

good luck hun
let us know what the water tests say - ask for the results to be written down - say you dont just want to know they are ok you want to know exactly what they are

It's so sad when you lose a fish no matter how long you've had them

thankyou =]

yeah, im quite shocked at how upset i am!

he was lovely i bet his friend is upset to, if fish can do that!

Yeah I noticed that too. My fish become depressed when someone dies! Especially when my MM platy dies. I had about 8 platies that survived through a year and then one of the sisters got swim bladder and she died. The other sister became kinda depressed later. She got herself a mate and was happy with him then!

I'm a strong believer that fish do get upset about losing their buddies. I always find my tank slows down when a fish dies... :(

omg I have the same ruin thats in your pic!! :)

When I first saw I was like...am I being watched..? lol
