Please answer my question quickly please.

I am looking to get a tank soon and i was looking at the ads in the newspaper, and i came across a tank that is 36"x18"x16" and it cost $15 American (just the tank) but it said it was made for reptiles, is this okay to buy? He is selling it as a fish tank.

Thanks

BTW i am going to ask him some questions about the tank-e.g. thickness, any scratched or cracks, etc.

Thanks A Lot!

i think if you just scrub it out it will be just fine. :)

just get the tooth brush out.

i just got a tank with every thing but a heater for free spent two hours with a tooth brush last night

I understand about being low on cash etc. but personally I wouldn't risk it. The tank was made for reptiles not fish.

yeah but alot of people use reptile tanks as fish tanks so long as the silicone is strong enough and the glass is thick enough i cant see a proble B)

ok, the tank i wanted is gone. But there is still a $20 tank left (36"x12"x12" including hood)!

Also, she owns a petting zoo, that adds a lot to her credibility!

go for it $20 isnt really that much t ogamble with but check the thickness of the glass and stuff first :/

that isn't a bad deal at all, i would have wished you could get the $15 one. Oh well, by the way, just because she owns a PETTING ZOO shouldn't give her that much crediblity, YOU DON'T PET FISH  lol

Yep, just check the glass thickness and make very sure it can be used for aquatic use as well. Reptile tanks often have thinner glass and not suitable as fish tanks to withstand the pressure of water.

I understand saving money, but how much would it cost you to repair water damage you your house, furniture, etc.. by an exploding? It's better that you got a tank meant for water, the other one would be too risky.

No, but you seriously have to understand. He's really low on money. Like, only around $60.
