quick question

my ammonia levels are 0.4 in my tank, my fish are dying, im going to my lfs now, is it worth asking for some used gravel? plz reply asap. If so what will it do + what will i do with it?

get the used gravel. it will help introduce bacteria that convert ammonia, nitrites to less harmful substances.

Gravel from the lfs will help, but not immediately.

Did you test the nitrite level? Could be that that is higher than the ammo and what's causing the problem with the fish. In that case you'd want to get something that neutralizes the nitrite... like Prime.

an ammonia level at only 0.4 shouldnt really be killing fish. making them sick at MOST. check the other levels, nitrite, and nitrate, and make sure they are low (especially the nitrite)
