Fish Fanatic
if you're using the 1" of fish per gallon/1cm per litre rule try and bare in mind your tank wont hold 54 litres. 54 is the maximum volume, but doesn't take into consideration the substrate, decor or that the tank wont be filled to the brim. the dimensions don't take into consideration the thickness of the glass either. so you'd be over stocked IMO
anyway, with regards to the water hardness, you should be fine with those fish. captive bred fish are generally hardier, and they don't know how hard the water is supposed to be. if you buy them from a local shop they probably have similar water anyway.
adding bogwood will only lower the pH, but wont last forever. it wont change the carbonate hardness, so the pH will eventually rise again. RO water is an option, but buying it is a lot of hassle (the shop might not have enough when you need it, and it will take a lot of playing around to get the right combination of tap water/RO water to use).
personally i wouldn't worry about the water hardness, unless you plan to have live plants, then i'd suggest using CO2 injection
