How tall do Apistogramma cacatuoides get? I made some PVC pipe caves for them, but the smaller ones are only about an inch tall. Will they get stuck in the bends as they get larger?

1" pvc works well. No need to worry.

Apistogramma cacatuoides prefer a cave with a very small entrance like a coconut cave that they can just about fit into as once breeding the female will block the hole up with substate so they can just get into the cave swimming on there side ..... you can get coconuts from tesco for 50p each which will make 2 caves .. just cut em in half take out the milk and insides then boil them for 30mins then cut your enterance in it and boom you have a perfect apistogramma cave ...... hope it helps
