i am planning on getting a fluval ebi shrimp habitat for some shrimp soon and was just wondering what type of centerpiece fish could i get i was thinking bolivian ram but supposedly they are shrimp hunters so what could i have ?

Apparently the only totally shrimp-safe fish are otos. Small schooling fish like neons, cardinals, or CPDs won't eat adult shrimp, but just about anyone will fit whatever they can into their mouth, so babies better look out!

what if i got the flora version and put a pair of bolivians in would they fit ? and would they breed ?

Get yourself a schoo lof something small and colourful or you could even try a betta but they are hit and miss with shrimp :good:

i could put my old betta in as he is very docile so i could put shrim in but not breed them :-(

yeah i know thats why i was asking didnt want to be cruel :good:

chuck in some moss and some small tubes, the shrimp will breed and some might reach adult size. Just depends on the Bettas attitude.

it eats out my hand it swims about with my amanos so i think it would be fine.
