How long should I wait to start feeding fry if they were born today?

Feed straight away if you like, as long they have no yellow sacks hanging below them...

Feed them mashed up flake ( i do mine in a blender), until you can get some fry food

I always fed them a few hours later but I was curious now.
Oh and I have another question.
If a male lyretail mated with a regular female, would the fry come out with some regular and some lyretail?
