Quick Question, Need Help Fast, Though..

Okay, so I have 2 tanks and I got a new betta today. One is completely sanitary, and the other well, Cabaret died in it about 2 weeks ago, but it's been sundrying ever since he died. The one he died in is bigger, but I don't want to risk him getting sick or anything from it. Do you think it would be okay to put him in it? (It's only a temporary home anyways until I can get him a better suited tank)

Id use the clean one depending on the size. if its 1 gallon up i would use it

It's only half a gallon though.. Mufasa lived in it for about 2 weeks until I got enough money saved to buy him a bigger, better tank. But eh, I hate using 1/2 gallons..

Edit: I rinsed the tank in boiling hot water, added aquarium salt, melafix, and novaqua. I think it'll be okay..
