I have about 10 baby endlers arriving soon. I plan on breeding them for their fry. I know alot of people don't like that, but I would rather breed my own than buy them for my bettas,. Anywhoooo.... Since I have never had any and last time I had guppies was probably 30 years ago, what do I need as far as their tank goes? I have a 10 gallon tank ready for them. Do they need some kind of air in there? Will a bubbler do? I hope you will only answer my very simple questions and not jump all over me for wanting to feed my bettas endler fry.

will need a heater and filter as well as any decore if your having any, probably best to add a few floating plants to help them feel secure with them only being fry, think the gestation is shorter than guppies so thinks its around 3 weeks not to sure though, are all the fry from the same parents? a bubbler will be good because unlike bettas they get most there oxygen from the water not the atmosphere, hope this has helped a little.

gestation is in deed 3 weeks but they dont drop large amounts of fry on each drop. no probs mate, live food is live food, understandable!!!! but i hope that if you really feel the desperate need to feed them to your betta (when there plenty of other live foods to use) that you are not using true bred lines of any fish for this purpose.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, my bettas want nothing to do with brine shrimp and I find worms to be, well, yucky, so I thought I would try this. As far as true bred lines, I don't really know. I bought 10 endlers off a guy on Aquabid because the only thing I could find around here were fancy guppies and I definitely didn't want to use those for feeding purposes. But like I said, thank you for the input.
