my daughter female guppy is pregnant yesterday and earlier today her gravid spot was very distinguished now in a matter on an hour her gravid spot has seemed to double taking up her whole belly and she is not eating as much and is staying very calm

what is this?
is she fixing to deliver?

she has had no stress fed regularly

sometimes they will only allittle when they want, when they are about to deliver. when mine about 1 to 2 days from delivering they will rome around the bottom to try to find a spot to have the fry its normal. If the backside of the guppies hole is openning she will have the fry shortly. or if you are one of the lucky ones to actually see the birthing its quit cool.

Gravid spots are always there. They are just more pronounced when pregnant. Also, the darkness can change with angle and lighting. In my experience, during the first week fish will grow very large initially, slim down, and then grow larger and larger until they are ready to give birth.
