heey guys i was just wondering if im able to just plop live plants into an aquarium thats never had live plants in it before, if not can someone tell me how to and what i need. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE. :good:

I find plants harder to understand and keep than fish.....
 
sorry still doesnt answer my question i just want know if i can put plants in a tank that has fish, a really mature filter and heater with a sand substrate :blink:

Can you put them in a tank, that has not had any previously? Yes
Use simple/easier plants, and see how you get on plant list

edit:Anubias & Java Fern needed to be tied to something, and not planted in the sand
 
thanks guys that really helps will go get some plants now but do they need any fert ?
can someone also suggest plants please as i am not sure.
