Hi people, im about 18 days into my fishless cycle and my readings are as follows on API master test kit

Ammonia 0.25ppm
Nitrite 5.0ppm/off chart
Nitrate 40ppm
PH 7.6/7.4

My question is with the ammonia dropping from around 4.0ppm to 0.25ppm in around a day or so now and the nitrite and nitrates getting high should i do a 50-60% water change now as i have read on guides or should i wait and leave as it is, if so when is the water change required all help appreciated :D thanks

By doing a water change now, you will reduce the amount of nitrite that the bacteria are trying to process. Probably a good idea to do that now. Also reduce your dosing to 2ppm
