Hello,

After three weeks of a fishless cycle the ammonia has droped to 0ppm in my tank. The nitrite is over the 5ppm. Should I add more ammonia now or wait till the nitrite lowers a little.

Thanks

Ian.

If the ammonia has dropped to zero, it is time to bring it back up again. You need to keep feeding the ammonia processing bacteria or they will start to die off. Any time you find ammonia at zero, bring it back up. You only need to add ammonia once a day to keep things perking right along.

Yes add ammonia back upto 4-5ppm. I'm assuming you are doing the wait method as you let Ammonia get to 0. keep adding 4-5ppm Ammonia everytime you get a 0 reading on your ammonia test kit. :good:
