IME that is a myth. The idea of scaleless fish being more sensitive to meds doesn't seem to be well supported. Meds get in through the gills, not the skin. Not that meds can't be absorbed through the skin, but that it isn't the main way. What makes it worse is that for some reason this idea is also applied to fish like plecoes, cories, etc. that have extra thick scales. Obviously scalation doesn't have a major impact on a fish's sensitivity to meds.
I have used double dosing of quick cure on many 'sensitive' fish (tetras, loaches, scaleless catfish, plecoes, cories, etc.) without any issues ever.
