I put tetra aqua safe into my tank today (the tank has no fish, I'm getting some mature media on Tuesday (thank you Fisses!) but just though I'd set up my tank and have it running to see if there are any problems with it etc) and it has turned my water blue!

On the back on the bottle it says to add 5ml to every 10 litres which I have done, but when I asked a pet shop about it, they told me to just add a few drops in.

Does anyone use this and if you do, how much do you add?

I will be changing my water again to get it back to being clear, and just wanted to know how much to put in this time.

Also, another thing is that my aquarium light is so loud! It's an elite style 60, but I'm not sure if it's the same light that came with the tank because I bought it second hand. Are lights always loud? I would like to have some plants in the tank and at the moment, if I have the tank lights running for 8hrs a day, it's going to be distracting.

Is there any way I can change it to a quieter one? Is this easy to do and are there any recommendations to any lights?

Thankies! ^_^

Hmm... Not sure about the aqua safe. I've never used it but you might want to try a different water conditioner when It's all gone! Shouldn't harm your fish but the blue is a little weird.

I know lower-quality lights can be noisy, but your best bet for help on this one is the Hardware/DIY section riiight...
