Hello,
I was wondering how anyone feels about me adding more plants and or a Bristlenose Catfish to my tank. I have had plants in the past but didn't have correct lighting so they died. Now my tank is 6 months old and I have way better lighting and a way better idea of how to run a bigger tank (have a 10 gallon that is my first) but with my better lighting I have had algae problems. I am wondering if by adding plants will the catfish eat them, or if I should only get plants, or only the fish. I am stuck on what to do right now. I want to add plants because my other fish did like they when I had them.
My tank is a 60 gallon with 1 betta, 2 rainbow fish, 2 barbs, 1 black loach, 1 African leaf fish, and 1 angel fish. I know that most barbs and rainbow fish need to be is bigger groups but mine are fine and don't attack the other fish. And about 3 weeks ago I had 2 angel fish but 1 mysteriously died. My temp is 77 and all my other stats are fine.
