Can I house a sorority of bettas with a blood parrot cichlid (the hybrid)?

I personally wouldn't, with the fact that the cichlid will most likely be aggressive and territorial.

I was just wondering because of the parrots mouth (small "O" that doesnt close all the way - and overall reputation for being the gentlest of cichlids....
