Would a pair of angles be ok in a 55gal tank with 1 x convict and a small Bristle nose pleco ? the pleco is about the size of your thumb and you hardly ever see it even for 5 days on end cause there is heaps of plants and rocks, and the convict is about as long as a cigerete lighter maybe slightly smaller ?

I dont want to just go out and get them and worry later best to ask first

I'm afraid that I dont know the answer to your question however just wanted to say that no question is a dumb question - it's merely information you don't know yet!

Sorry I cant help!

it will be fine but with a agressive cichlid such as a convict i would say get the angels abit larger or the same size of the cons just in case.
It should all be ok though as angels tend to hand around near the top of the tank and convicts like to hide behind logs and dig.

i reckon it will be alright if u have enuff space, just watch out, the convict might get territeriol

I would never suggest putting a convict with angels. One of my convicts killed my favorite angel fish, when the angel was around 3 inches long and the convict was not even an inch. Just a bad idea. There are some other fish than convicts who might work well in your tank, though (keyholes).

I dont have any first hand experience with either fish, but IMO Cons are too aggressive for angels. I guess it does all depend on the fish too tho. You could give it a try but just make sure before you buy any angels that you can either take them back to the lfs if they dont get along, or you have someplace you can move the angels. :)

I didn't get angles i kept with the african cichlids and went and got 2 moorii's sucking cats to help with the algea and 2 more of the fish that i have forgotten the name of but the come from liake victora, ill go down to the LFS and look at the name and write it down so i dont forget it next time

Your mixing New World cichlids and africans cichlids there with isnt a good idea because they both need differnt water conditions.
