Question

I just bought some seachem matrix and I was just wondering if it really matters where you put it in your cannister filter. Its my first time setting one up so I dont know.

This is how I currently have my eheim set up (following instruc book):

Starting from Bottom:

Ceramic Noodles
Blue Filter Sponge
some sort of Balls
White Filter Sponge

Can I add the matrix with the balls I have in the cannister or do I have to buy a serperate white filter sponge and have the matrix in between two sponges?
