Next question, how are they to keep?

Size, food, temprament etc etc.
 
yes they are a lovely fish, not sure on the size, but apparently they are
supposed to be quite hard to find and are expensive, someone else
may be able to answer this better, but generaly plecs are easy fish
to keep and are usualy peaceful fish, :thumbs:
 
I think u will be looking at £25 each minimum!
 
zebra plec if u like the brown ones they about 20 each! look very nice! i seen one i like at my lfs.... shoping the weekend for fish :lol:
 
My lfs hasn't got any i at the moment, but he said that they go for between £60 and £80, I think I'll wait awhile.

Zebra plecos or this one better known as L046 are indeed beautiful. They range in cost here in the states between $45 and $80.00.

They are going to go way up in cost due to a proposed 10 year ban on collecting them.

The powers to be feel they are being over collected.
 
CCL - your lfs is charging way over the odds. I've seen them around here at about £20 for a juvi. Adults can be twice that price. BTW - your little additives at the end of your posts are great :D Wich I could do them - but then, I'm technically challanged :rolleyes: :(
