right i just re-scaped my tank, added some nutri base under my sand to help my plants grow, and added new plants, my crypes are doing AMAZING now,

but my amazon swords altho i did butcher them, i think that would be the correct observation, cut of like 70% of the roots and leafs to help new growth, now because they where in the tank for months before i didn't expect them to melt so i am guessing they have melted, BUT what to do now to maybe help if i can help or is it just a w8ing game

here are the pics of them,

i left the best looking leafs from the algae ones, the algae has died back a tad and there is no new algae growing which is good, there is new root growth kinda showing through the surface is this good bad or normal? do i cut this off or just leave it, wont the roots rot above sand?,

and the leafs are now to heavy and bent over snapped in some cases, don't think my pleco's helped sitting and eating on them, so do i cut the leafs of, there is NO healthy leafs, just the dead old ones you see? is these plants fully dead given that it still growing roots? i still not sure about my flow and co2 and ferts, could i be under dosing? i have a video of them that i want to put up later to get help on that,

but if anyone can tell me if this is lime green or not?

fingers crossed it is okay now haha

Soon as any leaves start getting holes cut them out to avoid ammonia spikes, they'll grow back mate don't worry. DC looks a little blue but your flow is awesome mate.

okay cheers steve, and thank you question, i shall cut of the leafs then, i shall up the co2 to 2 bps or just above 2 then see how that goes,

what would happen if i double dosed ferts? would this be a good or bad thing?

Depends, are you seeing fert deficiencies?

no i dont think so i am leaving it be for a few days to monitor see how it all goes and hopefully i get some new growth on the things i need it,

i cut off all the leafs that i saw had either left over algae and holes in them, and my amazon swords this is what they look like now

the bottom pic one on the left hardly notice able i re buried deeper down as it's roots where growing outside the sand hopefully it will pic up the food in the substrate soon all the leafs where dead looked like skeletons at closer look would this have been caused by my trimming and replanting or from the liquid carbon dosing?
