Question For Netty And Bronze!

Hi,
I was thinking about my fry and where they will go when they grow up because I can't keep a bazillion bettas.

How can I ensure everyone of them gets a good home? I don't want some idiot to buy them from a store and kill them. What should i do when the time comes?

Ah, now this is the problem??

In 2 words, you cant! If you sell the juvi's to an lfs, its up to them who buys them. If like us you have a website, you still cant choose who the buyers are. Through the forum we have refused sales, but thats because we have knowledge of that person.

So, really you can only advise your buyers about the bettas requirements and hope they listen, but there is very little else you can do.

You'll just have to let people know on here when they are ready and hopefully you'll get some interest from the American members. Any you then have left you may have to find a decent lfs that will take them in to sell on.

That sounds good Netty, but don't I need a permit type thing to do that? Or could my sig just be something like "bettas X$ plus X$ shipping, pm me"

Thats something you need to ask the site owner William I know that comercial businesses are not allowed to advertise on here with links etc... but we are just hobbyists and received permission from William.

There is the "For sale" section of the forum too I think as long as you just put up a post saying you have some babies for sale and for people to contact you off the board. The prices etc are best kept to private emails etc....
