Question About Tank Size

Im moving out of my parents house in the summer and I'm getting all the furniture and every thing planned out
Well I was thinking bout having a tank in the kitchen and I was wondering if a 5 or 10 gallon be to big to have on the counter the counters are pretty big and the space between the counter and cabinets are tall enough to fit a tank under neath or would it be dumb to keep a tank in the kitchen

I honestly wouldn't, Even though that the counters can almost definitely support the weight, I just don't think that the kitchen would be a good place for a fish tank, and plus if it only 10 gallons why not save the money and upgrade me of your other tanks, when you have enough. I wouldn't have it in the kitchen just because if there is a leak, or when I do a water change I don't up want dirty fish water all over the kitchen counter

Plenty of people keep tanks in the kitchen, personally I wouldn't but I think up to about 30 litres would be ok on the side.

I have a small 5.5g on my kitchen counter. It fits under with ample room above it. As well as in front of it. If I actually needed the counter space it's there. It's the width of my cabinet.
It actually started out on top of my hutch but the seal blew and lifted the finish. So replaced the tank and placed it on the counter temporary. Except we really like it there now and it just looks natural.

The only problem my husband has is when I start doing water changes because it's a food area. But I sanitize and all is good

We have a 3 gallon at my parents in the kitchen, I'm pretty happy right now bout my fish tanks right I just got a 30g but idk I was just thinking bout i cus i know ppl do if i do I'd get a 3g and put a gold fish or two in it

A goldfish wouldnt be suitible for tht tank, neither would a betta, IMO a 3 gallon isn't worth it unless you wanted snails, or shrimp

Even If the tank was 5 gallons yo still only have a small selection of fish

Ya i know, I didnt a 3 gallon and I didn't mean to put gold fish I was typing and looking at my gold fish at the Same time, im still thinking bout it but I already have 2 set up in my room

Goldfish require a 4 foot tank minimum

Ya I gotta save up money from the last time i went and got supplies for my tank, I got them before I relized I had an account on this forum, my mom got them for my niece I can't stand gold fish actually so their my parents fish I just clean out the tank when I clean the kitchen

Goldfish need 20 gallons +10 gallons per additional goldy.

Yep my Betta is in a 5 gal (21L) Hex in the kitchen. He's the happiest fish I've got lol!
