Ok My brother in law gave me my tank, It was givin to him by one of his friends. When he gave it to me he said that it was a 70 gallon. Then I read the label on the stand for it and it said a 75 gallon. But I just took the measurements and put it in the tank calculator and its saying a 79 gallon. So does that mean its a 79 gallon that holds 75 gallons and thats why the stand says 75? The measurements are
Lenght-48 inches
Width-18 inches
Height-21 inches

I am trying to figure our for sure how big my tank is.

Thank You

When you're measuring are you measuring from the inside of the tank, making sure not to include borders, frame, and glass thickness? That might be where you are getting an extra 5 gallons. It won't matter anyway. As soon as you add substrate, decorations, and other equipment, you won't be at the total gallons anyway. If you are really wanting to figure out the capacity, you can always measure your tank as you add gallon by gallon, but it shouldn't matter. Just assume 75 gallons and you will be fine.
