Before you ask, I can post water stats later. I am not at home currently, but will give them to you when I get home.
I had 4 ghost shrimp in one of my bettas, Finneus' tank as well as a Black Mystery Snail. The snail has been doing great since I've had him-around a month now. I've gone through several batches of shrimp. (They were spread out through all 3 tanks, and Levi and Big Red decided they didn't like them and killed them)
Finneus killed one the other day in his tank as well, and yesterday morning and the previous night 2 of the shrimp died. They did not look like they had been attacked by Finneus. He's been leaving them alone. I have one remaining shrimp, and he seems to be doing well. They have been getting a pellet of bottom feeder food in the tank to make sure they're getting enough food. What do you all think caused the 2 shrimp to just pass away? Could it have been aggression between the ghost shrimp? One of them had just molted prior to the death of one. (All three of them had been swimming around) (He is in a filtered/heated 2.5 gal tank)
My second question is about one of the snails in Big Red's tank. He also has a Black Mystery snail in his tank. My sister wanted me to add a Gold Mystery snail in there as well, since he gets along with snails but not shrimp. The snail slithered around the tank most of that day, and the next morning we found it dead and floating. (it smelled rotten) It showed no signs of being attacked. What do you think happened to it? (Red is also in a 2.5 gal filtered tank)
