if you cut vallis (the long vallis) ((not corkscrew)) and re plant them will they grow?

and dose duckweed spread ? i have one little peace in my tank and i was wondering if ill get more

1) no it will die off slowly, vallis will send out runners when its ready to propergate.

2) yes like a week, you will be sick of the sight of it before long
