Question about Oscars

hi everyone.. was wondering if anyone can shed some light as to tell me if its okay to have a Sailfin Pleco in the same tank as a Red Tiger Oscar??..i went to feed the pleco some algae wafer and noticed the pleco was inside a hollow tree and as the wafer hit the gravel the oscar came to see it and swallowed it..

Oscars and good-sized plecos tend to get along ok, as long as they've got plenty of room, but it really depends on the individual oscar. If you are having trouble with the oscar gobbling up all the goodies, try to occupy him with a live food, or wait awhile after you turn your tank light off, and sneak some in when the pleco is more likely to be out and about.

plecos are by nature nocturnal, they come out at night to feed. so do what wolfie said and wait till all the lights are out, sneak a couple of those algae disks and your set.
