Hey guys,

I have received my new light but I'm a tad bit confused. I have pictures to explain it better.

The light i have came with leg things but if i have the leg things on i can't put the glass top lid on. so is this the way it's supposed to be?(pic below)

I may be barking up the wrong tree here but;
I think you are asking: If I place the legs on the light unit then I cannot fully close the glass lid or coverglasses. If this is the case then I would place a leg on top of the coverglass in the position it is ment to go if the glass was not there and mark on the glass with a marker pen drawing around the leg. Do this on each glass on opposite sides of the aquarium. So the next step would be to take these to a local glazing firm or glass supply company and have them remove the excess glass you have drawn. Now it may well be that your coverglass panels are toughened or tempered so in this case the glazing company will be unable to cut this as it will blow up (as we call it in the trade) smash into 1000's of tiny pieces. If this is the case the get them to cut you two new pieces to the template you have supplied.
I hope this was of some help
If I have totally misread your dilema then please explain further and maybe include a pic of the top of your tank both with the fitting on and one with it off showing the glass lid.
Regards

Hmm. You kinda have what I am talking about, lol... I am really wanting to know if I HAVE to have the legs on the light or if it's a MUST to have the legs on?

And if so, can I by any possible change get smaller legs(not so bulky looking*).

There designed mainly for open top aquariums, so either dont have a lid (as intended) or continue as you are, although Im not sure if they'll be too bright if places directly on top of the glass lid.
