and i have a 20 watt 6700k lifeglo2 in the hood that came with the tank..i have noticed that the two color spectrums look totally different even though they are both 6700k..i wanna change this to one color from one light set-up..or should i?..so iwas was wondering if i can use the aqualight and change the bulb to this 96watter

..can i do that?..or will it not work?..i wanna see how things would work with more wattage since im barely over 2wpg now but if i can just change the bulb i can save some money..thanks dan

Dan i think the ballast running your 65 watt would not be suitable for the 96 watt, you probably need a different light fixture with a suitable ballast, and besides 96 watts PC light would be very intense light from one tube and could cause you problems unless you are on top of things, i make out you have nearly 3 WPG right now.......85 watts/29 = 2.93 WPG thats a pretty decent amount of light in my book, thats more than i run on either of my tanks and i can grow pretty much everything.

But i think you would probably need a different ballast anyway to run the 96 watt tube maybe just swap out the 20 watt to a more suitable colour.

No prob zig, just checkin.Im pretty sure i have enough lighting then. Do you think the difference in spectrum color would cause issues? If not im content with what i have. Kinda trippy how they both have the same K rating yet different color though. To be honest i like the color of the 20watt lifeglo2. It has a nice bright color with a small tint of blue, where the aqualight seems more whitish/yellow
thanks dan
