Quarantine

Today i went to walmart and decided to walk past the fish and saw these cool floating plants and I got them for free but there were lots of dead fish in the tank and they were all sick so should I quarantine the plants before I put them in my tank?

Yes, but it doesn't need to be as long as you'd quarantine fish for; 4 or 5 days should be plenty.
