Hello! I started this tank 5/30/14 and it was finished cycling 6/6/14! It's a ten gallon aquarium that I'm using as a quarantine/nursery for my molly fry! I have a marineland biowheel filter and submersible heater in there.

I have had some bettas in there (female) and an assortment of fry. during the couple months that it's been up and running.

This is bluebell. She was the first veiltail betta that I purchased from the LFS. She looked grey and had stress stripes at the store. Her tiny fins and lack of color made me purchase her haha I just have to save them all!

Around 6/10/14 I added a few more female bettas, upon reading that they get along better in odd numbers, I initially bought three, and then added two more. Upon purchasing some crowntail females, (who were quite aggressive compared to the veiltails), I returned the crowntails because I wanted a community tank.I also added some plants from my 29 gallon.

Well, here's bluebell about 7/1/14. She's grown her fins out, and colored beautifully! She has dark navy/black scales towards the front near her face, and a nice lighter blue towards her fins. On the anal and ventral fins she has a purple and red hue that this picture doesn't catch, but she adds so much color and personality to the tank!

At this point I had taken my lovely female bettas and put them in the community tank with my assorted mollies

They all get along quite well.

This is the updated view on the ten gallon tank as of 7/19/14. I had the african hardwood soaking for over a week to leech out most of the tannins, and I have to say, it looks terrific

I also changed the plants around and transferred the fry from both the first batch of calico balloon mollies and the dalmation mollies over to my empty quarantine tank! Since I have added different/more plants, I have seen some pond snails, and my mother has taken custody of them in wine glasses. I think she'll be overrun soon haha! Also, on 7/20/14, my black molly and dalmation molly had more fry, so they were put in the quarantine, and to my surprise, the older fry(now mature, which is why the males and females are separated until I can find homes for them or they grow too big), the larger fry did not attempt to eat the newborns!
