Quake Original

Wow, that brings back memories, and looks pretty good too!

Quake is still one of my favourite games of all time. I remember I spent a few weeks trying to complete nightmare mode on all the episodes in under an hour.

I didn't really achieve anything, but it was well worth playing.

Ya, I'm either gonna have to find my Quake CD or buy another one, just so I can play through it all again, and have some fun at the old school LAN parties I have sometimes :)

And never forget the music... the Quake soundtrack is pretty awesome!

While I have the Mac Quake game, I also bought the Quake "The Offering" pack. It is designed for the PC, but the data files work fine in Mac. You get the original game plus two really good expansion games.

Cheers,

Neale

I remember ages ago when i got duke nuken i tried making my own levels :D

Quake 2 was great. I started playing this at university, of course there were those that had been playing for years and i was just cannon fodder. Then quake 3 came out in the same year. All the physics were slightly different so those that were great before weren't as good, although they were just as accurate with a nail gun :/

Wasted many hours playing both games. I remember once about 20 of us playing and all trying to stand on each other's head in a tall column.

Have to say, i dont like quake 4 as much as the others

I remember getting my Voodoo 1 for my Pentium 166 when it first came out, and being able to play GLQuake for the first time, when all my friends were struggling to play at 320x240 with medium details. It was so great... Things were simpler then :)
