Q's On Rams With Other Peaceful Fish

I have fallen in love with Rams.

I have been seeing all the pics on here, looking them up in google etc, but cant seem to find any at any shop near me (I live in Australia and are starting to wonder if they exsist here).

I have some q's.

Would they go well with Guppies
Would they go well with an Angel
Would they go well with a Gourami
Must they be kept in 2's?
Can you put 2 males together?
What is the most prettiest of breeds?

where abouts in australia? i live in australia too. i fond some down at my local fish shop, smiths, but thats north brisbane.
im not sure about guppies but angels and guoarmis they are fine with. i found it best kept in a pair (male, female), but i like to keep two of most fish for company reasons etc. no cant keep 2 males together. my fav would be the blue ram but its each to their own i spose. rams on ly get to about 3 in and are one of the most peiceful of cichlids.

it also depends on the size of tank. make sure that u have plenty of territories. i like regular wild type rams and blue rams, and thouroghly enjoy them. be sure u have the correct water quality. due to this, i would say no to the guppies, as the guppies prefer harder and more alkaline water, and rams need softer, more acidic water in which they will thrive. however, guppies are more versital, but in theory, no, they cant be kept with guppies.
my opinion though.

Hi Vampireplec, I am in Melbourne.

Found some in the local aquarium yesterday, but he is getting more in today, so on the weekend I will go have a better look, as there was only 2 left.
