hiya,

i have put one male and one female into a floating breeding container, in the hope that it makes them have some interest in each other and hopefully breed!!!

Does this work because the male seems smaller the other male?? And they still dont seem interested??!!

please help!!!!

I hate to pick on you, so hopefully this won't come across that way, but I was curious about something: did you look at my response to this thread of yours?

Did you get the guppy deaths sorted out? Also, I never got an answer to the speed at which you are stocking your fish and also how large of a tank you have.

In terms of your question on this thread, I agree with Angry_Platy. Platies will breed in the open aquarium. They breed so readily that there is nothing you really need to do to induce them to breed faster. In fact, it may have already happened without you observing it.

I'd still be curious about your tank situation and what your plans are for the 34 fish that you had as of a few days ago and the 30-40 fry you mentioned.
