Pushing My Luck?

Hi

so in my well established (well over a year)60l tank I have the following stocking:

2 x Male Platy
6 x Sparkling Gourami
7 x Green Neon
7 x Pygmy Cory

I am aware that technically I am overstocked but my tank is healthy,moderately-heavily planted, water parameters are always fine and I do a 25% (if not more) water change at least once a week.

My question is, I have 6 Ember Tetras in my 20L that my Betta keeps picking on (divebombing

)and I have noticed a real change in their behaviour, hiding all the time etc. Would it be ok to transfer them to my 60L as they're only small and not much bioload or is that really going to push my luck?

Aren't the plants plastic? Only live plants count towards easing bio-load, although fakes help make it a better environment.

If the ember tetras are being harmed, try moving them, but be ready in case there are problems.

If your tank is fine ATM then I wouldn't see a problem with putting the ember tetras in, as they are really small and won't add much to the bioload.

What are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings?

Obviously you don't want any ammonia or nitrite, but if your nitrate reading rises after adding them then increase your water changes.

Lol no they were a while back (in my sig photo) but I ditched them a few months ago and went back to live (wasn't worth the hassle).
