Pump For My V2 400 Skimmer

can anyone tell me which pumps they use for this skimmer as the one i was given does not fit the tubing

i know that it is one of the rio units, but i dont know which one sorry

the pump i got with the skimmer is a rio but didnt have any adapters for it to fit onto the inlet tube, frustrating

on mine all you need is a 8 inch long bit of 1/4 inch pipe, about the same size as a bit of hose pipe( but i dont think you can use hose pipe)

Throw the rio pump away they are rubbish!

get a aqua medic OR 2800!

yea why, know the rio pumps are a bit pants but mine has ran for close on one year now with no prob.

Purely as you will get better skimming from a OR in my opinion!

Try it!

also if you wanna run it from the other side of a wall a rio will not do it, it needs to be no further than 20cm from skimmer inlet pipe, If you wanna do this I would go for a OR3500!
