Pump Failure

OK so when I arrived home today I noticed the internal pump on my Rio 125l has stopped working.

My OH says it was working in the morning OK.

I have removed it and cleaned as best I can but so far it is not working. I may be able to replace it tomorrow afternoon but what can I do in the mean time?

I'm assuming this pump runs your filter, and you are worried about the nitrifying bacteria. Get a clean cheap plastic cup and punch some holes in the bottom. Put your filter media in here, and clip it to the inside of the tank. Every so often pour some tank water through it. This will keep the bacteria alive, and continue bio filtration.

Yes the pump runs the filter.

I will try feeding water through the filter. I can collect a new pump tomorrow morning under guarantee, just hope they all survive until then.
