Hi, how many litres per hour should my filter be pumping, with a tank around 160 litres and a full compliment of fish?

I remember reading somwhere if your filter can cycle the water in you tank 4 times in 1 hour it a winner.

Imo i would look for a filter that will turn over at least 800Lph.

do i go by what the manufacturer says? because i was using the website ##150###.com and it would lower the LPH rate when selecting the filter? If that makes sense?

With having live plants this will mean more debri to clear on top of any fish waste so the bigger the filter the better. Having a bigger filter will also provide you with a lot more media to take care of the bioload.

I didnt have any specific filters in mind, was just going to go for whatever does the job!
