Puffer + Live muscle from sainsburys;

Just to clarify i can just drop it in his tank in its shell un opened and he will just muller it and then i take the remains if any out?

Can he eat the shell with no problems ect.

Depends on the puffer and how big it is. I'd open the mussel first as I do with my F8s and wash it well first

Hes quite big id say about 5 inches should i still open it? also i have a shed load of them lol do i freeze th rest, the guy at the counter says they are to be used by tomorrow theyre alive so do i freeze them because hes obviously not haveing loads lol?

Id put it in unopened first and see how he goies..if he has difficulty then open it slightly. As Jenny said, wash it real good first

Live mussels from a supermarket, im sceptical about that.

Anyway, you fish probably isnt strong enough to crack the shell, so what you can do is open them up and wash them then crack the shell so that the fish has to scavenge through the shell to get to the meat.

or open it slightly and let him finish the job..

My target has no problem cracking cockle shells, which are considerably harder than mussel shells.

Plus dead mussels usually open anyway.
