Psycho Neons!

A couple of weeks ago I purchased 6 Neon Tetras to go into my tank, as company for my one Neon who's been on his own for almost 1 year. One of them was eaten (or abducted) within a couple of days and since then they've been behaving weird.

The tank is very active and I noticed after a few days that there was something wrong with almost all of their tail fins. At first I assumed it was fin rot, but after watching their beaviour closley there seems to be running battles between each other (the neons) and the danios, for what I can only assume is territorial control. There's a lot of fin nipping going on.

I'm still unsure who is "The Daddy", but I'll keep you posted and I might be able to capture the fights on camera

p.s. is this a bad thing ... ??

I've never had any small shcooling fish fight like that...i guess its only really a bad thing if the fish are too stressed or get hurt, if its just alot of fin-nipping going on then its still strange but probably not bad. As long as thye have space i guess.

I bet the danios will win .
