Ok I'll keep this question short since im on my lunch break :D Is P. Zebra an actual recognised species anymore? Cos i know it used to be. I see them in nearly every LFS and they all look different from shop to shop...In my Mbuna tanks I always try keep chalk and cheese in terms of different fish...and I never buy anything unless I know what it is or at least know its a true species and not a Hybrid. It seems to be when anybody doesnt know the name of an Mbuna they just call it "P. Zebra" or "P. Cobalt" ......if anyone can help with my newb question it would be great lol :)

P.Zebra is indeed a true species, at least according to Ad Konigs and that will do for me. :D

Cobalts are Maylandia Callainos and there is also Metriaclima Estherae (red zebra's)

The only P.Zebra's i seem to see these days in my LFS are the albino strain.

what about malyandi barlowi's are they zebras too? cos i have some of those

Have they changed M. Callainos to Maylandia again, last time I looks it was still metriaclima.

I hate when they change names around.
