Protien Skimmer

Well I came home from work tonight to find my protein skimmer was broken and now I need to get a new one and we are thinking of getting another seaclone 150 to hang on the back but I didn't know if anyone had any other suggestions for a hang on the back skimmer. Also we just did a water change so how long will the tank be able to go with a canister filter on it and be alright?Dave

Does that imply that you're broken skimmer is a seaclone? If so, isn't that a hint that Seaclones aren't the best skimmer?

US and had it almost a year and a half just part of it cracked I don't know I just want to make sure I get a good one that won't break and will keep the tank looking nice and the tank is 120 gallons. Dave

I only know of two HOB skimmers suitable for a 120g... AquaC Remora, and the Coralife Superskimmer (220gal rated). If it were my tank, I'd use the AquaC despite the fact that the Coralife is likely cheaper.
